Our Beginnings
It started with a phone call between friends. Jeff called Larry after finding out that DC was covered with 20 inches of snow. The call went something like this... "are the kids' going to school with all this snow?" Larry replied "who knows, every morning we sit on the couch for like 20 minutes watching the news to see if the kids school scrolls up on the screen." Laughing Jeff says, "I remember those days, you'd think there would be an easier way now with smart phones and social media." *long pause* At that moment, they both realized that they would work to solve this problem.
Our Goal
We designed Connect2parents to be intuitive. You'll learn how to use it in minutes, not hours, days or weeks. We don't sell you training because you don't need it.
Our Ambition
To develop a service we couldn't live without. Our service is the easiest way for parents to receive important information from schools and teachers.
What we Value
Clarity is key. Our prices are public and affordable; we believe everyone is entitled to the best price we can offer, only $0.29 per student. Those prices are the same no matter who you are. Our philosophy is to communicate clearly, we don't use tech-speak, buzzwords, lingo, or offer sensationalized sales and marketing speak have no place at connect2parents.
Our Team
Larry Gill
Larry is connect2Parents Co-Founder and CEO. He's the father of 2 little girls ages 2 and 4 who have both been in a variety of daycare situations. His professional experience includes 12 years in the information technology field as an auditor and project manager of software and system development projects. He holds a BA in Public Policy and a BS in Economics from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and a MS in Public Policy and Management from the Heinz School at Carnegie Mellon University. Larry brings his years of experience and entrepreneurial passion to Connect2Parents.
Jeff Meade
Jeff is Co-Founder and COO. He's the father of 3 kids under 3 years old. Jeff holds a BA in Business from Babson College and a MBA from the Olin School at Washington University St. Louis. In addition to his 15 years of marketing experience, he is also an acclaimed marketing instructor at UCLA. Jeff has been cited in numerous publications for his marketing expertise. He brings his talent and ability to Connect2Parents.
Roger Caruth
Roger Caruth is Co-Founder and is responsible for the business and legal affairs to Connect2Parents. Roger and his wife Samantha have two children Rajah and Liyah. Roger holds a Juris Doctor degree from John Marshall Law School. He also holds a Master of Public Administration degree with concentrations in international development and administration, anda Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications from Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta, Ga. He has been an Adjunct Professor and Instructor at Baruch College, Queens College and Georgia Perimeter College. Roger's expertise is focused in the areas of business, law, and communications.
